If you are planning a trip to Patagonia, you will most likely find yourself in Puerto Natales, a small port town in southern Chile which is the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park.
Located just outside the town by the seaside is Simple Patagonia Hotel, a new family owned and operated boutique hotel. Nick and I enjoyed a few nights here prior to completing the W trek and it is one of the best boutique hotels we have ever stayed at.

Inspired by the ancient constructions of Chilean Patagonian estancias, the hotel architecture features simple lines and concrete flooring complemented by warm, native wood. The interiors are contemporary and minimal yet warm and welcoming and are made comfortable with internal heating throughout.Simple Patagonia Hotel

The timber hotel complements the landscape surrounding it and large floor to ceiling windows in the common areas and bedrooms provide uninterrupted views of the sea and snow-capped mountains.

There is an onsite restaurant and bar available exclusively to guests where typical homemade food of the region is served, as well as daily buffet breakfast.Simple Patagonia HotelSimple Patagonia Hotel

Simple Patagonia Hotel offers affordable luxury accommodation and the warm and friendly hospitality provided by Alvaro and his wife Sandra makes for a really special experience. I would highly recommend staying a few nights especially as a deserving reward after completing the 5 day W trek.

How to get there
Puerto Natales is a three hour bus ride from Punta Arenas. Buses depart from the airport and arrive at the bus terminal in Puerto Natales where you can then get a taxi to Simple Patagonia Hotel. It is best to book a taxi through the hotel.
