The Chapel, Byron Bay
Considering it had been six years since I last visited Byron Bay, I figured a quick getaway was justified (and necessary). It just so happened that Nick had a conference in the Gold Coast so we decided to go on a road trip up north and squeeze in three nights at The Chapel Byron Bay, a beautiful one-bedroom holiday home owned and operated by Byron Beach Abodes.
We spent three days swimming at the beach, eating acai bowls, and going on cafe crawls. We had so much fun and felt really refreshed after our three-night getaway.
The Chapel is really close to the beach and town where there are many nice cafes, restaurants and shops (which can be dangerous if you’re addicted to beautiful homewares stores). The interior is reminiscent of a New York loft, injected with the relaxed, coastal vibes that Byron Bay is known for. The concrete floors, exposed bricks, hand-woven rugs and fresh white linens create an industrial-style space that is comfortable and inviting (and hard to leave). And being a sucker for good – quality bathroom products, I thoroughly appreciated the Saya body wash which made me smell like I’d been to a day spa everytime I had a shower.
